OFFICER UNIFORMS

Information on Dalriadan uniforms is forthcoming.

OFFICER RANK INSIGNIA

Dalriadan naval uniforms are a deep midnight blue trimmed with gold and maroon piping.  The insignia can be found on both sides of the high, Prussian-style collar.

Note: There may only be one Admiral of the Fleet at a given time.  Should the First Space Lord (Chief of Naval Operations) hold the rank of O-11, he is the Admiral of the Fleet while in office.

Note:  A captain, senior grade, is often referred to as a captain of the list.  Baring very unusual circumstances, promotion to captain, senior grade, insures promotion to the admiralty as positions become available.

There are a total of Seven Space Lords: 

• The First Space Lord, as mentioned above, is the Chief of Naval Operations.
• The Second Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Planning (BUPLANS which includes the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI)).
• The Third Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Ships (BUSHIPS which includes the Logistics Command).
• The Fourth Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Weapons (BUWEAPS). 
• The Fifth Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Personnel (BUPERS which also includes the Judge Advocate General (JAG)).
• The Sixth Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Training (BUTRAIN).  
• The Seventh Space Lord is in charge of the Bureau of Medicine (BUMED).
